दोहा
श्रीगुरु चरण सरोज रज, निज मनु मुकुर सुधारि
बरनउ रघुवर बिमल जसु, जो दायकु फल चारि

बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके, सुमिरौं पवन कुमार
बल बुधि विद्या देहु मोहि, हरहु कलेश विकार

जय हनुमान ज्ञान गुन सागर
जय कपीस तिहुँ लोक उजागर॥१॥

राम दूत अतुलित बल धामा
अंजनि पुत्र पवनसुत नामा॥२॥

महाबीर बिक्रम बजरंगी
कुमति निवार सुमति के संगी॥३॥

कंचन बरन बिराज सुबेसा
कानन कुंडल कुँचित केसा॥४॥

हाथ बज्र अरु ध्वजा बिराजे
काँधे मूँज जनेऊ साजे॥५॥

शंकर सुवन केसरी नंदन
तेज प्रताप महा जगवंदन॥६॥

विद्यावान गुनी अति चातुर
राम काज करिबे को आतुर॥७॥

प्रभु चरित्र सुनिबे को रसिया
राम लखन सीता मनबसिया॥८॥

सूक्ष्म रूप धरि सियहि दिखावा
विकट रूप धरि लंक जरावा॥९॥

भीम रूप धरि असुर सँहारे
रामचंद्र के काज सवाँरे॥१०॥

लाय सजीवन लखन जियाए
श्री रघुबीर हरषि उर लाए॥११॥

रघुपति कीन्ही बहुत बड़ाई
तुम मम प्रिय भरत-हि सम भाई॥१२॥

सहस बदन तुम्हरो जस गावै
अस कहि श्रीपति कंठ लगावै॥१३॥

सनकादिक ब्रह्मादि मुनीसा
नारद सारद सहित अहीसा॥१४॥

जम कुबेर दिगपाल जहाँ ते
कवि कोविद कहि सके कहाँ ते॥१५॥

तुम उपकार सुग्रीवहि कीन्हा
राम मिलाय राज पद दीन्हा॥१६॥

तुम्हरो मंत्र बिभीषण माना
लंकेश्वर भये सब जग जाना॥१७॥

जुग सहस्त्र जोजन पर भानू
लिल्यो ताहि मधुर फ़ल जानू॥१८॥

प्रभु मुद्रिका मेलि मुख माही
जलधि लाँघि गए अचरज नाही॥१९॥

दुर्गम काज जगत के जेते
सुगम अनुग्रह तुम्हरे तेते॥२०॥

राम दुआरे तुम रखवारे
होत ना आज्ञा बिनु पैसारे॥२१॥

सब सुख लहैं तुम्हारी सरना
तुम रक्षक काहु को डरना॥२२॥

आपन तेज सम्हारो आपै
तीनों लोक हाँक तै कापै॥२३॥

भूत पिशाच निकट नहि आवै
महावीर जब नाम सुनावै॥२४॥

नासै रोग हरे सब पीरा
जपत निरंतर हनुमत बीरा॥२५॥

संकट तै हनुमान छुडावै
मन क्रम वचन ध्यान जो लावै॥२६॥

सब पर राम तपस्वी राजा
तिनके काज सकल तुम साजा॥२७॥

और मनोरथ जो कोई लावै
सोई अमित जीवन फल पावै॥२८॥

चारों जुग परताप तुम्हारा
है परसिद्ध जगत उजियारा॥२९॥

साधु संत के तुम रखवारे
असुर निकंदन राम दुलारे॥३०॥

अष्ट सिद्धि नौ निधि के दाता
अस बर दीन जानकी माता॥३१॥

राम रसायन तुम्हरे पासा
सदा रहो रघुपति के दासा॥३२॥

तुम्हरे भजन राम को पावै
जनम जनम के दुख बिसरावै॥३३॥

अंतकाल रघुवरपुर जाई
जहाँ जन्म हरिभक्त कहाई॥३४॥

और देवता चित्त ना धरई
हनुमत सेई सर्व सुख करई॥३५॥

संकट कटै मिटै सब पीरा
जो सुमिरै हनुमत बलबीरा॥३६॥

जै जै जै हनुमान गुसाईँ
कृपा करहु गुरु देव की नाई॥३७॥

जो सत बार पाठ कर कोई
छूटहि बंदि महा सुख होई॥३८॥

जो यह पढ़े हनुमान चालीसा
होय सिद्ध साखी गौरीसा॥३९॥

तुलसीदास सदा हरि चेरा
कीजै नाथ हृदय मह डेरा॥४०॥

Shree Guru Charan Saroj Raj, Nij Man Mukur Sudhari
Barnaun Raghubar Bimal Jasu, Jo Dayaku Phal Chari

I take the dust off the lotus like feet of my teacher. I clean the mirror of my mind. I narrate the pure glory of Sri Ram Chandra who is the giver of the four rewards, viz. Dharm, Arth, Kaam and Moksha.

Buddhiheen Tanu Jaani ke, Sumiraun Pavan-Kumar
Bal Budhi Bidya Dehu Mohin, Harahu Kales Bikaar

Knowing myself to be ignorant, I remember Hanuman, the son of wind (Pavan). Kindly Bestow upon me strength, wisdom and knowledge, and remove my miseries and blemishes.

1. Jai Hanuman Gyan Gun Sagar, Jai Kapees Tihun Lok Ujagar

Victory to Thee, O Hanuman, the ocean of wisdom and virtue. Victory to the Lord of apes, the one who is known in the three worlds.

2. Ramdoot Atulit Bal Dhama, Anjaniputra Pavansut Naama

You are the messenger of Ram and have immeasurable strength. You are the son of mother Anjani. The son of the wind is your name.

3. Mahabeer Bikram Bajrangi, Kumati Nivaar Sumati Ke Sangi

You are the most valiant and brave, with a body like lightening. You are the dispeller of evil thoughts and the companion of good thoughts.

4. Kanchan Baran Biraaj Subesa, Kanankundal kunchit kesa

Your complexion is golden and your is pretty. You have on earrings and your hairs are curly.

5. Haath Bajra Aur Dhvaja Biraje, Kandhe Moonj Janeu saage

You hold a lightening bolt in one hand and a flag in the other. A sacred thread made of moonj is decorated on your shoulder.

6. Sankar Suvan Kesarinandan, Tej Pratap Maha Jag Bandan

You are the emanation of Lord Shiva and you are the son of Kesri. Your great aura and power is worshipped by the entire world.

7. Bidyavaan Guni Ati Chatur, Ram Kaj Karibe Ko Atur

You have knowledge, you are virtuous, you are very clever. You are keen to do the work of Shri Ram.

8. Prabhu Charitra Sunibe Ko Rasiya, Ram Lashan Sita man basyia

You are keen on listening to the narations of Lord Ram's nature. Ram, Lakshman and Sita hold you dear in their hearts.

9. Sukshma roop Dhari Siyahi Dikhawa, Bikat roop Dhari Lank Jarawa

You took a tiny form to appear before Sita and a terrible one to set Lanka afire.

10. Bhim roop Dhari Asur Sanhare, Ramchandra Ke kaaj Sanvare

You took a mammoth form to kill demons. You straightened out the works of Shri Ram.

11. Laaye Sajivan Lakhan Jiyaye, Shri Raghubir harashi ur laye

You brought the 'Sanjivani herb' and saved the life of Lakshman. Shri Ram happily took you in deep embrace.

12. Raghupati Kinhi Bahut Badaai, Tum Mam Priya Bharatahi Sam Bhai

Shri Ram praised you a lot and said "you are dear to me like my brother, Bharat."

13. Sahas Badan Tumharo Jas Gaaven, As kahi Shripati Kanth Laagaven

"Let a thousand mouths sing your glories", thus said Shri Ram and embraced you.

14. Sankadik Brahmadi Muneesa, Narad Sarad Sahit Aheesa

Sanak and the sages, Lord Brahma, the great hermit, Narad and the cosmic serpent, Sheshnag sing your glories.

15. Jam Kuber Digpal Jahan Te, Kabi Kabid Kahi Sake Kahan Te

Even Gods like Yamraj, Kuber, and Digpal fail to narrate about you in toto, what to talk of denizens of the earth like poets and scholars.

16. Tum Upkar Sugreevahin Keenha, Ram Milay Raj pad Deenha

You obliged Sugriva by introducing him to Shri Ram who thence became king.

17. Tumhro Mantra Bibhishan Maana, Lankeswar Bhae Sab Jag Jaana

Vibhishan heeded to your advice. And it is world known that Lankeswar(Raavan - King of Lanka) was afraid of you.

18. Jug Sahastra Jojan Par Bhanu, Leelyo Taahi Madhur Phal Jaanu

The Sun is at distance of thousands of miles and it takes eons to reach there. You gulped it, thinking it to be a sweet fruit.

19. Prabhu Mudrika Meli Mukha Maaheen, Jaladhi Laanghi Gaye Acharaj Naaheen

Carrying the Lord's ring in your mouth, you jumped across the ocean from Rameshwaram to Lanka. There is no wonder that you can achieve such a feat.

20. Durgam Kaaj Jagat Ke Jete, Sugam Anugrah Tumhre Tete

All the difficult tasks of the world are made easy by your grace.

21. Ram Duaare Tum Rakhvare, Hot Na Aagya Bin Paisare

You keep the door of Ram's abode secure. No one may enter without your permission.

22. Sab Sukh Lahai Tumhari Sarna, Tum Rachchak Kaahu Ko Dar Na

All the happinesses rest under your grace. When you are the protector, then no one else’s fear is there.

23. Aapan Tej Samharo Aapai, Teenon Lok Hank Te Kanpai

Only you can control your own might. When you roar, all the three worlds tremble.

24. Bhoot Pisaach Nikat Nahin Aavai, Mahabir Jab Naam Sunavai

Ghosts and evil spirits don’t come near when devotees take the name “Mahabeer”.

25. Nasai Rog Harai Sab Peera, Japat Nirantar Hanumat Beera

All maladies perish and all pains disappears by regularly reciting brave Hanuman's name.

26. Sankat Te Hanuman Chhudavai, Man Kram Bachan Dhyan Jo Lavai

Hanuman rescues them from danger, those brings him in thoughts, rituals and words.

27. Sub Par Ram Tapasvee Raaja, Tin Ke Kaaj Sakal Tum Saaja

Rama is the Supreme religious king above all and you straightened out all his works.

28. Aur Manorath Jo Koi Lavai, Soi Amit Jivan Phal Pavai

Whichever desire anyone cherishes, he begets the unlimited eternal fruit of life.

29. Charon Jug Partap Tumhara, Hai Parsiddha Jagat Ujiyara

Your glory is remains in the four ages (Satyug, Tretayug, Dwaparyug and Kaliyug) and your aura is famous all over the world.

30. Sadhu Sant Ke Tum Rakhvare, Asur Nikandan Ram Dulare

You are the protector of saints and sages. You destroy the Demons, you are dear to Shri Ram.

31. Asht Siddhi Nau Nidhi Ke Data, As Bar Din Janki Mata

You are the giver of eight Sidhis and Nava Nidhis, that was the boon given by mother Sita.
Asht Siddhis:
1. Anima-siddhi - The ability to decrease the size of one's body and become smaller than the smallest particle
2. Mahima-siddhi - The ability to increase the size of one's body, ultimately enveloping the universe
3. Laghima-siddhi - The ability to make one's body lighter than air and fly at will
4. Prapti-siddhi - The ability to manifest any object one desires within one's hand
5. Prakamya-siddhi - The ability to attain anything one desires
6. Ishita-siddhi - The ability to control the sub-potencies of the laws of nature
7. Vashita-siddhi - The ability to bring others under one's control
8. Kamavasayita-siddhi - The ability to attain anything anywhere

Nava Nidhis:
1. Padam-Nidhi - attainment of children, grandchildren, gold, silver, i.e. the precious metals
2. Mahan-Padam - one gets diamonds, rubies and other gems and jewels (precious stones)
3. Kharab - riches of all kinds
4. Kund - trading in gold
5. Nil - trading in precious stones, jewels, and gems
6. Sankh - delicious eatables (created from nowhere)
7. Kachhap - clothes and food-grains in abundance
8. Mukund - mastery in arts, music, and poetry
9. Makar - gives the art of using weapons and sovereignty on others

32. Ram Rasayan Tumhare Pasa, Sadaa Raho Raghupati Ke Dasa

You hold the essence of devotion to Shri Ram. May you always remain His Servant.

33. Tumhare Bhajan Ram Ko Pavai, Janam-Janam Ke Dukh Bisravai

Through praying to you, one finds Shri Ram and forgets all the suffering of several lives.

34. Ant Kaal Raghubar Pur Jai, Jahan Janm Hari Bhakta Kahai

Then, after death, one enters the abode of Sri Ram and is known as a devotee of Hari.

35. Aur Devta Chitt Na Dharai, Hanumat Sei Sarb Sukh Karai

Even if you do not hold any other god in mind, Hanuman alone gives all the happiness.

36. Sankat Kate Mite Sab Peera, Jo Sumirai Hanumat Balbeera

All dangers get removed and all pains disappear, for anyone who remembers the brave Hanuman.

37. Jai Jai Jai Hanuman Gosain, Krapa Karahu Guru Dev Ki Nai

Hail, Hail, Hail Hanuman! Please bless me as my teacher god.

38. Jo Sat Baar Paath Kar Koi, Chhutahi Bandi Maha Sukh Hoi

Whoever recites this Hanuman Chalisa one hundred times, becomes free from all the bondages and enjoys the highest bliss.

39. Jo Yah Padhe Hanuman Chaleesa, Hoy Siddha Sakhi Gaurisa

Whoever recites it would achieve his desire, thus is witnessed by the husband of Gauri (Parvati), Lord Shiva who had got this Hanuman Chalisa written.

40. Tulsidas Sada Hari Chera, Keeje Nath Hriday Mahn Dera

Tulsidas, the eternal servant of Shri Ram, prays to Hanuman, "Oh my Lord! Please enshrine within my heart.”

O the Son of wind, O the reliever of dangers, your look is the statue of auscpiciousness. Please reside in my heart along with Ram, Lakshman and Sita.
